How we use your information
For the plotr experience and plotr trials. Last updated 27 October 2026.
Who we are
plotr is run by East Coast Customs. We decide how the information on this page is used. Contact us about it at sales@eastcoastcustoms.co.uk.
What we collect while you go through the experience
- The steps you reach and what you try on the sample job (for example, changing the wording, opening a production file or zooming in). This is linked to a random ID kept in a cookie called
plx, not to your name. - The answers you give about your shop, such as how you design, how changes reach you and your roll widths.
- Where you came from (the link or campaign that brought you) and whether you're on a phone, tablet or computer.
If you never give us your email, this stays anonymous and is deleted after 90 days.
When you save your progress or start a trial
We keep your name, business name, email and password (stored scrambled, never in plain text), together with your answers, so your workspace is set up the way you work. We use this to run your account and to contact you about your trial and the jobs in it.
If you add a card, it's saved by Stripe, our payment provider. We only see the card type, the last four digits and the expiry date. Nothing is charged during the trial, and nothing is charged afterwards unless you choose to start a subscription.
Marketing emails
We only send plotr news and tips if you tick the box that asks for them. It's never ticked for you, and saying no doesn't change anything else. You can stop them at any time by replying to one or emailing us.
Who else handles it
Our hosting (Vercel), our database (Supabase) and, if you add a card, Stripe. They process it for us and don't use it for their own purposes. We don't sell your information.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email us and we'll do it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Our legal basis
Running the experience and your trial is in our legitimate interest and, once you have an account, part of providing it to you. Marketing emails rely on your consent.
